National Philanthropy Day - Community Enrichment Award

As part of Canada's National Philanthropy Day, Edmonton holds an annual celebration for those who have largely given back to their communities. Individuals, foundations, businesses, and nonprofit organizations are all paid tribute for their giving, volunteering, and charitable engagement. Their outstanding commitment and philanthropic achievements are what allow the services in our communities to grow and thrive.

Alves was delighted to be a recipient of the Community Enrichment Award by the Boys & Girls Club Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area in 2021 and 2017. The Community Enrichment Award honors those who have engaged in impressive acts of charity. Along with the $6 million raised through Alves Development to support the Dream Home Lottery, the Alves family has also donated in-kind personally over $1 million to BGCBigs. The Dream Home Lottery was a massive success. Despite a worldwide pandemic, supply shortages, and shipping delays, Alves delivered the 2021 Dream Home a month ahead of schedule. Every year we have the opportunity to work with this amazing organization is an honor and a privilege.
